This is Volume I of "The American History of a POTTER Family" which is the first of ten volumes recording the genealogy and history of my family. This volume is "Chapter 1: *ANTHONY POTTER (ca. 1628 - 1690) Puritan, the First American, and Ipswich Cultivator of Fruit" which covers the years ca. 1285, the earliest birth date of one of my ancestors that has been found, to 1690, the year my 7X Great Grandfather, *ANTHONY POTTER (ca. 1628 - 1690), died in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Volume I is the product of many years of research and details much of early American history about the Puritan Migration (1630 - 1640) from England to the Massachusetts Bay Colony and the settlement of Ipswich, Massachusetts. I am a 10th generation American, a direct descendant of *ANTHONY POTTER (ca. 1628 - 1690) who immigrated from England and settled in Ipswich, Massachusetts about 1637, and the subject of a later volume to be published.
